Emma

Salon Director

Hi, I’m Emma, the director of Harpers. I came into the industry as a Saturday assistant over 30 years ago and loved it that much that I never left!

Fashions and techniques change all the time, keeping it exciting and motivating. My biggest passion in the salon is cutting – I love to learn new techniques.

My time is split equally between managing the team and looking after my clients, some of whom have been with me the whole of my hairdressing career. I wouldn’t be able to do all of what I do without the support of Dave, my better half of over 20 years .

Outside of work I’ve taken up running and would love one day to run a marathon, hopefully before I’m 50! I love family holidays and looking forward to visiting lots of new places with them.

Emmy

Senior Creative Stylist

I’m Emmy, I’ve been working at Harpers since 2014. I completed my NVQ levels 2&3. Since being on the salon floor I’ve completed many different courses in Bridal hair and @beauty_worksonline hair extensions. I cover a few different methods but nano bonds are what I like doing the most of!

I also tend to specialise in blondes, they’re my favourite and so versatile.

Alongside that I’m also one of the salons wedding hair specialists too, I love being a part of someone’s special day getting them all prepped!

Zoe

Creative Director

I’m Zoe.. I’m one of the longest serving stylists as I’ve been here for a massive 20 years!! What can I say ‘time flies when you’re having fun!’

I absolutely love all aspects of hairdressing but I’m particularly passionate about short hair. I love the creativity and versatility it brings. I also love meeting new people and becoming great friends with long standing clients. I love making people look and feel fantastic and also dealing with all the challenges different hair types can bring.

In my spare time I love running and reading (not together!) and I’m also kept very busy with my two beautiful daughters Eliza and Nora who are 7 and 4.

Louise

Senior Creative Stylist

‘Louise’ is what I’m known as in the salon but my real name is Emma. I can to work with Emma in 2015.

After doing a year at college and not progressing as much as I wanted I decided to start my apprenticeship here at Harpers and went on to finish my NVQ level 2&3.

I then went on to have my little boy who is now 4 and after my short maternity leave I got straight back into building my client base. I later went on to qualify as a @beauty_workonline extensionist.

I’m proud to have many skill sets under my belt however my biggest passion is colour and this is what I mainly specialise in within the salon.

I love the variety and freedom colour work brings and creating something bespoke just for you is what I aim to do with all my clients.

Chloe

Salon Consultant

I’m Chloe, I’ve worked with Emma since I was 15, I started as a Saturday girl!! I then finished my NVQ Level 2&3 and later on passed my assessors award whilst I was on Maternity leave with my first born Austin who’s now 7.

I came back for a couple of years part-time and then later went off again to have Ada who is now 4.

After coming back from maternity leave the second time I’ve put a real focus onto my career and making people feel amazing.

Although I have 16 years experience in all aspects of hairdressing I do love cutting, bobs and short hair are my favourite.

I’m very talkative and love to get to know all my clients. As you can tell after working here all my adult life I love our salon and lovely clients.

Harriet

Artistic Director

Hi I’m Harriet. I’ve worked alongside Emma since 2010, I’m the salon manager and help Emma with the day to day running of the salon.

With hairdressing I like doing a bit of everything (except any hair up dos) I like the fact that everyday at work is different.

If you don’t find me at work you’ll find me walking my labradoodle Keogh.

Maria

Stylist

Hey I’m Maria I’ve worked with Emma at Harpers since 2015, initially I started as a receptionist and as I had a background in hairdressing I realised I still had a passion for hair, Emma took me through some training to refresh my skills and I then became a master extensionist as that is the area I love to do the most.

I have 2 children Grace who’s 9 and Archie who is 9 months old. I came back off maternity leave in May 2023 so I am now getting back into it and excited for new opportunities like attending an upcoming cutting course at Vidal Sassoon.

I love working at harpers and can’t wait for many more years working with such a great team.

Cat

Creative Director

I’ve been working in the salon since 2009 and been lucky enough to have had some really great opportunities so far, from training courses in salon, at different academy’s and photoshoots.

I think I would say I like working with long hair as the possibilities to create different looks is so wide although I also enjoy a variety from short to long, colour work and bridal hair too.

I love meeting new people and how diverse the people I meet are!

I would like to say I’ve built up a good clientele over the years and I love making them feel great about their hair, I think that’s one of the best things about my job!

On my days off from work I love being out with my Miniature Schnauzer, Harley. Seeing new places and not forgetting the ones with the most memories!
